LG's Signature OLED TV R is the world's first rollable TV. In an effort to make large TVs less conspicuous, LG said that manufacturers are trying to create slimmer and unobtrusive screens.

LG also unveiled its first super-high-definition 8K OLED television, joining competitors in offering premium screens that ramp up the richness of imagery.

LG is further enhancing the experience with immersive audio, which is included in 2019 LG OLED TVs.

With CES officially kicking off from tomorrow, we could expect a week full of awesome tech as companies reveal their roadmap for the year. Line mode provides just enough of the OLED display for controlling music, flicking through pictures, or displaying the time. This TV "reimagines space" and "addresses the human need for an aesthetically pleasing environment", LG's U.S. senior director of product marketing Tim Alessi told the audience this morning.

LG calls this mode "zero view" but there is also the option to hit "line view" which leaves the top of the TV poking out so you can access a narrow horizontal menu to do things like play music, look at photos or select an ambient display such as a fireplace.

It could also make Microsoft Corp co-founder Bill Gates, now worth $92.5 billion, the planet's richest person once again. Should she be granted these billions in the divorce , she would become the richest woman in the world.

'A rollable OLED TV is a true game-changer, liberating users from the limitations of the wall and freeing them to curate their own personal space which no longer needs to be reserved full time for TV viewing'.

Another feature of the TV punted by LG is its built-in sound system, which packs 4.2-channel output (100W) and support for Dolby Atmos.

We don't know much else about it at present, but will be catching up with the OLED TV R ourselves when we get to the show floor at CES itself.

LG has created two Crystal Sound technology OLED televisions generations already in the past.

With Apple HomeKit support, customers will also be able to control their LG TV using the Home app or by asking Siri. LG is also including the very latest version of WebOS, something that will include support for Amazon Alexa, with LG also adding in Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit integration. The company is a global leader in electronics, information and communications products, with more than 117 operations around the world, and annual worldwide revenues of more than United States $49 billion.
