According to General Director of HTC America, Dan O'brien (Dan O'brien), this technology adds versatility to a new headset.

Dell also announced a PC hardware partnership with Riot Games and League of Legends Esports, saying it was ushering in a new generation of PCs that will enable League pros to compete at a higher level and also standardise operational logistics for their global operations. While details were at a minimum, there was one prominent feature announced, and that's integrated eye tracking. Fans can experience the new Vive Pro Eye starting in 2019.

"The new Vive Pro Eye gives users new levels of accessibility, including gaze-oriented menu navigation and removing the need for controllers". To further improve the content watching experience the device uses a "foveated rendering" technology which sharpens the images wherever the user is looking.

The use of eye tracking opens new possibilities for an immersive gaming experience, as well as more information for training simulations during professional applications.

Trump says U.S. is having tremendous success with China on trade
The US and China have been locked in an escalating trade spat since early 2018, raising import tariffs on each other's goods. US Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross said Monday that China's economy was more vulnerable to the fallout from the trade war.

On the downside of things, we are going to have to wait a little longer until we can get our hands on the Vive Pro Eye since HTC said that it plans to release it in Q-2 2019. With Viveport Infinity, members will be able to try hits from indie developers or shorter experiences they were reluctant to pay for while keeping their favorites like Seeking Dawn and Torn downloaded and ready to play.

The headset will allow to abandon the use of base stations, thanks to six built-in cameras.

"Our philosophy has always been focused on developing great products and experiences that create a natural and effortless bridge from the real world to the virtual world and with Vive Reality System we set out to reimagine Vive's core software experience to meet these needs", said Drew Bamford, VP, Creative Labs, HTC Vive. The implication of this is that HTC may offer tools that will allow developers to take this feature into account, but this has yet to be confirmed.

Both Cosmos and Vive Pro Eye HTC VR headsets would come out later this year but not before the tech company delivers development kits to the devs during the upcoming months. "We want VR to feel less like launching apps and instead like stepping between worlds". Vive Reality combines a user interface, browser, virtual reality, digital showcase (with available virtual reality games and other content) as well as social service.
