CAPCOM’s Resident Evil 2 Time-Limited Demo is Now Available

The Resident Evil 2 Remake 1-Shot Demo is now available worldwide, and new details on the upcoming remake have emerged online. Safe to say the Xbox One and PC demos should be of similar size The full game is 26GB on PC and 21GB on Xbox One.

With or without the time limit, if you want to play the RE2 demo it's available now on Steam but it'll be pulled from digital shelves on January 31 - shortly after the game's proper release. You'll need several email addresses, but it is simple enough to create accounts on both consoles.

There's no confirmation whether this step down in violence will be implemented in the full release of Resident Evil 2. The approximate playtime is 30 minutes and it ends if players do not clear it before the time runs out. It's been confirmed that you can die in the demo and still continue - the only limitation is that 30 minute clock.

Naturally, the best choice when confronted with the idea that you can play an extremely short demo a few times is to make it even shorter.

Being a remake of 20-year old game, Resident Evil 2 does away with fixed camera angles featured in the original. Currently, though, at the moment there is no real official way to replay the demo.
