Prince William visited London's Air Ambulance Charity at the The Royal London Hospital.

At the event, William was announced as the organisation's new patron and the proud husband joked to well-wishers that he most certainly hadn't forgotten his wife's birthday.

Even before they married, the future King reportedly bought Kate a pearl and garnet rose-gold Victorian ring while they were dating.

37-year-old Kate still has plenty of time to have another baby before the ravages of menopause seal her fate.

On their third wedding anniversary in 2014, William is said to have given the Duchess a Ballon Bleu de Cartier watch to match her sapphire engagement ring which one belonged to Princess Diana.

Prince William and his wife haven't been out to celebrate the occasion in six years. "The Duchess undertakes royal duties in support of The Queen, both in the United Kingdom and overseas - and devotes her time to supporting charitable causes and organisations, several of which are centered around providing children with the best possible start in life".
