Former Bishop Gorman standout quarterback Tate Martell has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal, signaling a possible departure from Ohio State, according to published reports. Martell reaffirmed his stance to reporters that he did not plan on leaving the Buckeyes, and said he believed he was going to be Ohio State's starting quarterback next season during the lead up to the Rose Bowl.

The 5-11 sophomore-to-be came into Ohio State as a prominent and nationally popular recruit, and still has a good chance of winning the job if he stays.

Microsoft Says Windows 7 Activation Bug Was Caused By Server Update

"I've put two years of working my ass off into something that I've been waiting for and dreaming of having my whole life". Let's hope he doesn't swing and miss, especially on his second time, if he does transfer. He made headlines when Fields was exploring his transfer options from UGA, which included Ohio State as a rumored destination, with a cryptic tweet. Players in the portal are interested in transferring and can be contacted by coaches. As the backup quarterback, Martell was 23-of-28 passing for 269 yards and scored three total touchdowns in 2018.

Mars' ask for Fields to have immediate eligibility for the 2019 season could take some time, but he expects an answer within the next six weeks.
