Arsenal old boy Samir Nasri made his first Premier League start for West Ham against his former club and nearly produced an assist in the first half when he showed great composure to hold the ball up and lay the it off to Felipe Anderson on the edge of the box.

Declan Rice's first goal in the Premier League secured West Ham a memorable victory over Arsenal at the London Stadium.

"For a midfielder he's a dream", Wilshere said on Sky Sports.

The feel-good factor for the hosts, playing in front of a record home crowd, was slightly hampered by want-away striker Marko Arnautovic, however, as the Austrian appeared to wave goodbye when he was replaced by Andy Carroll.

The result means Manchester United will move level with Unai Emery's men with a victory at Tottenham on Sunday and could even overtake Arsenal should they win by three goals or more.

"But also we have enough players to win today and impose our game plan and our tactics and quality against West Ham".

Irish teenager Rice gave himself an early present for his 20th birthday on Monday by scoring the only goal of the game three minutes into the second half.

"He was part of the team and I think that the complete team played very well".

"He came in January a year ago and I played with him for the second half of the season. We continue working with every player because they are all important, but the decision was to come with these players". He might not be there yet but I think it would be foolish for one of the top clubs not to look at him now and seriously think about taking him.
