You'll be missing out on some potentially extremely juicy story bits though, so you may want to avoid the Internet until you decide to watch the epilogue if you choose that path. Kingdom Hearts III launches January 29 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, though you'll have to wait 24 hours to be able to view the epilogue.

Kingdom Hearts 3 will not have multiplayer. "We are now at the last stages of development but will work tirelessly until the end to deliver the very best KINGDOM HEARTS game to date". Players who have completed the main story and watched the ending of the game will have access to the epilogue.

This is going to some hefty lengths to protect the game's ending and players experiences. Tetsuya Nomura, the game's director, released a statement saying the Kingdom Hearts III epilogue and secret movie were being patched into the game after specifically to avoid these sorts of leaks.

Tuesday, January 29: Update 1.01 (several data fixes) Memory Archive (videos) "The Memory Archive option will be added to the game's title menu and can be viewed at any time". There's a total of three updates, including the secret movie, coming to the game after its immediate release, most of which are being held back to combat the string of leaks that surfaced for the game late a year ago.
