Weekend weather: A little snow and feeling like January

Motorists are urged to plan travel around winter weather and avoid unnecessary travel during the storm. A wintry mix is expected to develop across southern Kansas with snow spreading across the north. Snowfall totals will be a little more south of St. Joseph towards Kansas City and east towards Chillicothe where five to seven inches is expected.

Another blast of cold air appears poised to affect the region beginning on Friday.

After one batch of snow earlier Saturday afternoon, the worst of our weather comes in Saturday night and Sunday morning. We will be left with clouds decreasing during the second half of the day and a high temperature in the low 30s.

- Residents across the Delaware Valley woke up to a coating or even several inches in some areas Sunday morning.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32.

Most of Kentucky is starting off to a very wet start for this Sunday. However, another band of snow will pass through later tonight with another couple inches of accumulation possible.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 35.

The weather pattern could become active again late this week and into next weekend, which could bring returning chances for snow.
