It was rumoured that Titanfall 3 was in development according to a source at Kotaku, but it appears that the studio has shifted the title to become a free-to-play battle royale. Titanfall 2 was/is possibly one of the best single-player and multiplayer games of the generation, and it's sad to know that we won't see a sequel anytime soon.

The rumoured and now confirmedApex Legends is a free-to-play Battle Royale game from Respawn set in the Titanfall universe - though reportedly without Titans themselves.

One key difference is that the introduction of characters at the beginning of the match where you get to select a particular role for each member of the squad. They will never include any items that offer a gameplay advantage (there is no way to purchase a gameplay advantage in Apex Legends through any mechanic). Balanced squads and teamwork are critical, as each Legend is easy to pick up and learn, but challenging to master.

Anyway, Apex seems like a lot of fun, and something that I'll play precisely twice before moving on to games that don't feature *ugh* other people.

As football people took a better look at the film from Goff's performance on Sunday, it only seemed to get worse. They picked off Unitas twice and held the Colts to 11 first downs and 181 total yards.

In a surprisingly candid interview with Eurogamer, Lead producer Drew McCoy said that the developer wanted to be explicitly transparent about the game, its development and what's going on at Respawn. Respawn Beacons, one-time use locations where defeated teammates can be revived, are also featured alongside a contextual ping communication system that lets players call out enemies, weapons, locations and more.

Finally, Apex Legends will have purchasable characters. Respawn has also stated that first season for Apex Legends will begin in March. A seasonal model will continue, with each themed season bringing new content in the form of weapons, Legends, skins and more.

Apex Legends is available to download on PC, Xbox One, and PS4 right now.
