"I'm more flabbergasted by her willingness to pull this photo out and proudly show the world as if it's totally cool in the year 2016", Jezebel's Kara Brown wrote after the 2016 segment.

"I was so cute", she said, emphasizing that the curly tresses on her head were all hers. "Joy ... are you my auntie?!"

A resurfaced photo of daytime host Joy Behar has folks choosing sides amid recent controversy surrounding the use of blackface. "[Behar] clearly stated she put on makeup darker than her skin for a "beautiful African woman" Halloween costume".

"Did you have tanning lotion on, Joy?"

Behar, now 76, explained that the picture was snapped at a Halloween party where she dressed up as a "beautiful African woman" and stressed that the hair was actually haira.

"I don't see how that is racist on Halloween", said Kelly, remarking on a cast member from Bravo's Real Housewives of NY getting into trouble for dressing up as legendary singer Diana Ross. Behar, who usually makes headlines for squabbling with politically conservative panelists on the talk show, admitted that she was wearing makeup that was a "little bit darker" than her skin. That was followed by the state's Democratic Attorney General Mark Herring, who had called on Northam to resign, putting out a statement Wednesday admitting that he also wore blackface in college.

Behar has yet to address the recently resurfaced photo at the time of this writing. "Then, when asked about it, he justified it by saying he dressed up as "a handsome African man" and his blackface makeup "wasn't too dark"?"

However, she certainly has defenders.

The audience and fellow co-hosts were demonstrably taken aback at how drastically different Behar looked, some of them giggling.
