NBC Sports: Stoops expected to be named coach of XFL team

According to multiple media reports, the league will announce that former University of Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops will be the Dallas team's first head coach and general manager.

The official relaunch of the XFL spring professional league will not take place until 2020, but a major head coaching/front office announcement expected this week should increase excitement to a higher level than it's been since the revelation of the league's return.

The press conference is scheduled for Thursday, February 7, at 1 PM CT in Arlington, TX at Globe Life Park.
