The Biggest Celebrities Who Turned Down Performing at the 2019 Grammys

"I'm so excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night in music and celebrate the creativity, power and magic". Keys first topped the Billboard 200 back in 2001 with her debut album, "Songs in A Minor". Fifteen-time Grammy victor Alicia Keys will be the first woman to host the ceremony in over a decade.

"A dynamic artist with the rare combination of groundbreaking talent and passion for her craft, Alicia Keys is the flawless choice as host for our show", said Neil Portnow, president and CEO of the Recording Academy.

CBS All Access will be streaming the Grammys live online.

Drake, Lamar and Childish Gambino have all reportedly turned down offers to perform, while Ariana Grande withdrew from the show over creative difference with organizers. The site will also host a live stream of red carpet arrivals starting at 5/4c.

The performances: The Grammys will feature a bevy of musical performances, including an opening number featuring Camila Cabello alongside Ricky Martin, Arturo Sandoval, Young Thug and J Balvin.

He also skipped the Grammys that year, despite "Hotline Bling" winning two awards. Parton is also being honored with performances of her classic hits, with help from Little Big Town, Maren Morris, Kacey Musgraves and Katy Perry.

Expect to see Kelsea Ballerini, Leon Bridges, Luke Combs, Charlie Wilson, Alessia Cara, Julian Edelman, Eve, John Mayer, Bob Newhart, Smokey Robinson, Swizz Beatz, Meghan Trainor, Kane Brown, BTS, Cedric the Entertainer, Nina Dobrev, Anna Kendrick, Jada Pinkett Smith and Wilmer Valderrama take the stage to present the night's awards.

This year, Academy voters did pass on nominating perennial favourites like Taylor Swift for the top three prizes of Album, Record and Song of the Year, relegating pop stars who reigned in years prior to lesser categories.

Lamar leads with eight nominations this year, followed by Drake with seven.
