After a month-long training camp in San Antonio, the Apollos returned home to Orlando with their final 52-player roster to prepare to officially kick-off their first season within the AAF at UCF's Spectrum Stadium on Saturday against the Atlanta Legends.

Orlando Apollos coach Steve Spurrier reacts after a play during the second half of the team's Alliance of American Football game against the Atlanta Legends on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, in Orlando, Fla.

The AAF got off to a successful start in the ratings book as it filled the post-Super Bowl void for football fans. Almost 21,000 people showed up and saw the Apollos beat the Atlanta Legends, 40-6, with Spurrier, 73, coaching for the first time since 2015.

It's fitting that Brooks' return to professional football was capped off with an interception, as he failed to tally a pick throughout his five-year NFL career.

But what kind of Spurrier team would it be if there wasn't a trick play used by his new Apollos?

With only eight teams in the AAF there's a lot of pressure to get off to a good start. This game is up against some stiff competition on the TV schedule it's all hands on deck for football fans.

To offset some of the orange, the 17-inch Rays ZE40 wheels are painted a dark gunmetal grey. Pricing starts at $34,995 for a stick-shift soft-top, while the RF starts at $37,595.

Nevertheless, this is great news for the AAF and bodes well for the future of the league.

Although the AAF plans to serve as a complementary league to the NFL, the Alliance plans to change areas of the NFL's policy where the fan engagement is low or that they feel are unsafe.

"I think the fans had a good time tonight, didn't they?" The other three - Birmingham Iron, Orlando Apollos and Salt Lake Stallions - have nearly no connection to Halas Hall. CBS Sports Network will televise one game a week, the NFL Network will show 19 games, and TNT and B-R Live will also carry broadcasts of the action throughout the season.

Although there are several significant differences between the AAF and the National Football League, the game as a whole shouldn't be too far off what you're used to seeing on Sundays.

Though Brooks played well Saturday night, his efforts were not enough to carry the Fleet over the much stronger Commanders, as San Antonio left the Alamodome with a 15-6 victory.

He led Florida to a national championship in 1996, left the Gators five years later to coach the Washington Redskins for two seasons, then ended a long college career when he walked away from a decade-long stay at SC six games into the 2015 season.
