But the former first lady's star turn didn't appear to faze her mother, Marian Robinson.

Michelle Obama made a surprise appearance at the Grammys on Sunday, and though she shared the stage with musical legends Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga, and Jada Pinkett Smith, it was the former First Lady who really sent the crowd into meltdown.

Michelle ignored her mother's comment, noting that she had told her she would be at the ceremony, to which Marian replied: 'No you did not.

Michelle then posted the conversations to Instagram on Wednesday, in a post captioned: "When your mum doesn't think you're a "real" celebrity.Tonight in Phoenix, I shared this text thread from my mum from #Grammys night, and I just had to share it with all of you".

But her mother texted her two days later, saying: "I guess you were a hit at the Grammys".

She told CBS This Morning in November that her goal in living with the family was to help the couple's young daughters, Sasha and Malia, maintain a sense of normalcy, which included everything from rides to school to "laundry lessons".

The supply cuts, which also include Russian Federation and nine other non-OPEC producers, took effect on January 1. In a monthly report, OPEC said its oil output fell nearly 800,000 barrels per day in January to 30.81 million bpd.

"No you did not", her mother responded.

In a few hours the post has had nearly two million likes and over 30,000 comments.

Following her appearance, she had tweeted how she wanted to be there for Alicia Keys who was the host for the big night.

"To Ms Obama's assertion that she is a real star, she only had an unconvinced 'Yeah" to offer.

Mother-daughter relationships aren't any easier when you're famous. And then they'd leave'. And I just thought that that's an unnatural way for a little 2nd grader to go to school.
