Red Bull have conceded that Honda have been tirelessly working through the winter and the 2019 vehicle could maybe bridge the gap between Red Bull and the top 2 teams.

"We are expecting a lot from Honda and are positive, but it will not be ideal from race one".

Toro Rosso finished ninth of 10 teams past year with the Honda engine but Red Bull has sounded optimistic about the progress made by the Japanese manufacturer.

"I want to get the best out of myself, but you have to see what the auto and engine are going to do".

"There are a lot of things you need to understand about them, and I had the chance to be there and be in the country to learn this, so for sure, I think on this side, this will help the relation I will have with the engineers".
