The world No 1 will play her first tournament since her success in Melbourne at the WTA Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships next year and it will be her first without Bajin in her corner.

'Hey everyone, I will no longer be working together with Sascha (Bajin),' Osaka tweeted.

Thank you Naomi I wish you nothing but the best as well.

There was a sense of shock as Naomi Osaka announced on Monday night that she had split from her coach Sascha Bajin, just 17 days after completing back-to-back Grand Slam victories at the Australian Open.

Wall has inflammation from the infection, which doctors must wait to subside before doing the surgery. Wall is set to make $37.8 million next season , almost double his $19.2 million salary this year.

Bajin responded to Osaka and thanked her "for letting me be a part of this".

" Thanks to my team, I don't think I would have made it through this week without you". At the Australian Open, the then 20-year-old reached the fourth round after defeating two top twenty players in Elena Vesnina and Australia's Ash Barty. In his first true stint as a coach, he joined with Osaka in December 2017 and helped her win her first career title at Indian Wells last March.

The Japanese star beat red-hot favourite Serena Williams in straight sets to claim her maiden grand slam title last September at the US Open.

Alongside the German coach it took Osaka just 20 weeks to rise to No.1 after making her Top 10 debut.
