Now, more people can use Google's 'human-like' Duplex AI

During the event, Google CEO Sundar Pichai played demo recordings between humans and the AI, which sounded human-like, even sprinkling in "ums" as it spoke.

Still, that's not to say certain things can't be improved, which is why Google is starting to add support for its "Continued Conversation" feature to smart displays like the Google Home Hub. While unexpected, it's not necessarily out-of-character for Google - some of the company's other advanced AI features are already available on iOS via app. Continued Conversations is rolling out over "the next few days" to all Smart Displays powered by the Google Assistant in the USA that are set to English.

On Google Home speakers, the LEDs remain illuminated to tell you the speaker is still listening (it shuts off after a few seconds).

With Live Albums, you can show off the best photos of your favorite people and pets without you having to curate them. You can also set an alarm without using your voice so you don't wake up your partner by swiping up from the bottom of the display and setting tapping on the alarm icon.
