Sheldon Richardson to join Cleveland Browns on three-year deal

Browns general manager John Dorsey has built a fearsome front on defence. Richardson and Vernon will combine with Myles Garrett and Larry Ogunjobi to form a young (Vernon and Richardson are the eldest at 28) and active group that can play the run and the pass. The Browns have the No. 17 overall pick and many experts had the team focused on adding a tackle in that spot from what's considered a deep class.

Heading into the 2019 offseason, the Minnesota Vikings knew they were likely going to lose some pretty talented players to free agency.

Richardson was traded by the New York Jets to the Seattle Seahawks in 2017. His new contract will reportedly pay him up to $36 million according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.

Richardson will help the Browns get to the quarterback and plug the middle.

Richardson made his lone Pro Bowl in 2014, when he had 66 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss and a career-high eight sacks in 16 starts.

ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that former Vikings defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson will soon be wearing brown and orange.

He was suspended for the first four games in 2015 season for violating the substance-abuse policy for testing positive for marijuana.
