The ones who survived in the last film were Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, War Machine, Thor, Nebula, Rocket and Ant-Man. The first flashback takes us back to Iron Man when Tony escaped the cave in his first suit and became Iron Man and told Pepper Potts he loved her.

A point that is often discussed with the MCU is post-credits scenes and for Captain Marvel, this involved a cat that isn't all that it seems coughing up the Tesseract in humorous fashion.

To avoid revealing spoilery information in the Avengers Endgame trailer, Marvel seems to have come up with an effective strategy - the trailer appears to contain just as much old footage as it does fresh shots from the upcoming film.
