Golden Tate receiving interest from several teams including the Cowboys

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Golden Tate (19) warms up before action against the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.

Sure, he's not as good as Tate right now, but he still has upside.

The New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly also had interest in the veteran receiver. But instead of wearing the Philadelphia Eagles' midnight green, he'll be wearing the blue of the New York Giants. This past season with both teams, he caught 74 passes for 795 yards and four touchdowns.

Adams comes to Detroit after spending the 2018 season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, playing in 13 games (four starts) and totaling 36 tackles and a career-high four interceptions.

Tate is coming off a poor campaign in which he was dealt from Detroit to Philadelphia midway through the season. He was targeted at least 120 times in each of his first four seasons in the Motor City.

It was a puzzling move, as the Odell Beckham Jr. and Olivier Vernon trades made it appear as if the Giants were headed toward a full rebuild.

"My years are limited", Tate said at the time. And Pat Shurmur's offense should be interesting if the line can keep the veteran signal-caller out of harm's way.

Tate acknowledged the signing on Twitter, tweeting an image of the "I love New York" logo and making it his new profile picture. Is this really a team in rebuilding mode?

Trump issues veto over border emergency declaration
The House is not expected to have the two-thirds of the chamber's support needed to override the President's veto. Congress can veto Mr Trump's veto, but it does not look likely that they will have the necessary votes to do so.
