When, moments later, the word "Arsenal" was slowly revealed on the little white slip designating Napoli's quarter-final opponents, the most common reactions would have been low groans, facepalms and that sort of slow, inwards folding motion that people make when they receive bad news.

The Blues would need to beat Everton by six goals to dump Arsenal out of the Premier League's top four.

Maurizio's Sarri's side are now sixth in the Premier League, three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal, but with a game in hand.

The Europa League draw on Friday nicely allowed the two London sides to be separated all the way to the final, should they both proceed through the next two knockout rounds. "Making that step up is very hard and he showed that he can score goals from that position with his pace".

"His potential as a player is very, very, high". I feel very well physically.

Olivier Giroud has warned he is not prepared to settle for a back-up role at Chelsea and the 32-year-old striker insists his fitness records remain among the best at the club.

In the other half of the draw, Benfica have been drawn to face Frankfurt, whilst Chelsea have perhaps been given the most favourable draw after being paired with Slavia Prague. The winners will face Benfica or Eintracht Frankfurt in the last four.

With Napoli in a comfortable second place in Serie A, Ancelotti looks sure to lead the team back into the Champions League next season.

For Insigne, the Italian will now be unable to represent his country during the worldwide break and crucially for all three it will be a race against time for the Arsenal clash on April 11th.

"Chelsea are looking very, very good to go on and at least get to the final, if not win it", Walker added.

"Chelsea are probably one of the favourites and the performance last night proves why".
