It will introduce many new planets and characters and takes place after Order 66, and you play as a Padawan who survived the cull called Cal Kestis. That poster was subsequently officially posted by Respawn Entertainment today, following the Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order teaser image from a few days ago.

Though it was good news to hear that Leia's presence would continue in Star Wars 9 via footage of Fisher herself, it's not surprising to hear that her role will be limited.

When Abrams signed on to direct Star Wars 9, the film had an existing script by Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, which Trevorrow meant to direct before departing the film over creative differences.

EA is just hours away from giving us a glimpse at its next major Star Wars game and with yesterday's first look at Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker, fans are at fever pitch. More recently, EA pulled the plug on another singleplayer Star Wars title that was in development at Visceral Games. It is already known that the game will be on the Unreal Engine 4.

Jedi: Fallen Order will also feature some platforming abilities for traversal, as players will need to "overcome opponents and solve puzzles in their path". And while Lucas oversaw the original trilogy and then returned to the well in the late 90s to bring his prequel trilogy to fruition (to somewhat mixed results...), the third and final trilogy in his Star Wars franchise moved ahead without his direct involvement. They were designed by Respawn Entertainment in collaboration with Lucasfilm and shared with Marvel for the new Darth Vader comic.
