Whatever the case may be, we shouldn't have to wait much longer to confirm these details, as Microsoft is expected to unveil the Xbox One S All Digital console as early as this week.

A new report by Winfuture shows the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition clad in the same Xbox One S design without the disc drive. It will have a 1TB drive for storage; support HDR and 4K UHD; and include Minecraft, Sea of Thieves and Forza Horizon 3. Such a program would be necessary to maintain backward compatibility with many original Xbox and Xbox 360 discs players may have purchased before they were available as digital downloads. The new console should also come in around €70 cheaper than the current 1TB model's MSRP - though it's important to note deals are quite regular on the existing One S. WinFuture reports that so-called Xbox One S All Digital, which will support 4K Ultra HD and HDR and ship with a single wireless controller and a 1TB hard drive, will sell for around €230 (around £200); the Xbox One S is now available on Amazon for £179. It will be announced at some point in April, with Microsoft accepting pre-orders this month for those who want to guarantee themselves a device when the console launches on May 7. WinFuture quotes an MSP of €229.99 in Europe which equates to £199.99 in the UK.

We knew that a new disc-free Xbox One would be launching soon and was codenamed as Xbox Maverick, but we didn't really have any more details than that. Hence, the launch price for the disc-less version doesn't look very persuasive for consumers.
