A smattering of boos rose from the audience at a trucking company in the Minneapolis suburb of Burnsville after Trump said "today is Tax Day that we're celebrating".

The bill's backers say two-thirds of American taxpayers should be getting a break under the law.

If for any reason you can't get them filed by the deadline there are a few options offered.

The tax cuts were lambasted on Sunday by Minnesota Sen.

"For many, it means those workers took home more money in their paychecks during the year because employers began using the new IRS income tax withholding tables".

"It is quite a bit earlier than it was mainly due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which reduced federal tax liability quite a bit", Pomerleau said.
