Hinkley C go-ahead to create 25,000 jobs

The UK government’s deal with energy giant EDF to construct a new £16billion nuclear power plant at Hinkley Point in Somerset will create 25,000 jobs – many in civil engineering – experts have predicted.

They also believe the deal with the French company will lead to other players investing in new nuclear power plants in the UK, with more jobs in the pipeline.
