Parsons Brinckerhoff awarded $120m extension on high-speed rail project

The California High-Speed Rail Authority (CHSRA) has awarded a two-year $120million contract extension to Parsons Brinckerhoff for programme management services on the California High-Speed Rail project.

Described as one of the largest, most ambitious public transportation projects in US history, it will allow passengers to travel from Los Angeles to San Francisco at speeds capable of over 200 miles per hour, making the trip in under three hours, compared to almost six by car.
