Water experts present Ho Chi Minh City flood defence plan

Details of a new flood defence plan for Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam have been revealed by Dutch consultancy and engineering firm Royal HaskoningDHV and knowledge institute Deltares.

The concept of the “Flood and Inundation Management Project” is that the city itself will be protected by dikes but controlled flooding will be permitted in outlying areas.
